I asked M to help me pack his lunch last night.
M: “Does that mean I get to choose what goes in it?”
Me: “That depends on what you choose,”
Kids usually make better choices than we expect them too when given the chance. Granted, we don’t usually keep potato chips, cookies or processed cake-like things in the house, but we do have some “treats” that aren’t exactly nutritional powerhouses. Here is his lunch…exactly what he asked for.

I made a double batch of the Banana Pumpkin Spice Pancakes (adding chocolate chips to the recipe) Sunday morning. I love having leftovers of easy breakfasts like this. They not only make breakfast time easier, but these little pancakes are great for a snack or lunch too!
