Day 59 – Apples and Almond Butter

Apple slices and nut butter for dipping is one of my kids’ favorite snacks.  It works just as well at lunchtime (or breakfast).  Apples are great for energy and the fiber in them, along with the protein from the nut butter, keeps their tummies full and satisfied all afternoon.  I threw in some rolled up ham slices, extra fruit and some pretzels for extra staying power.
